A House Divided

Before OllieMac was born, our house was even-steven. CJ and I rooted for the Patriots, while my wife and daughter cheered along the Steelers. Last year, during the Pats vs Steelers game, I bet my wife that whoever won, got rights to Ollie for the year.

The Patriots, of course, prevailed. Not sure what we’ll do this year, but he’ll support Tom Brady if he knows what’s good for him.

Well, as I stated earlier this week, we’re back after a much needed break. Between the ACTUAL family, let alone the comic based on it, and PlaidDadBlog.com [which explores the work of being a dad IN it] – well, I was just plum tuckered out.

In a bit of synergy, today’s comic connects with today’s post over on PlaidDadBlog. Both have sports themes, but at their heart are about keeping unity in your family. I encourage you to go read Aaron’s piece HERE.

Today I’m excited to have the wonderfully talented, children book author and illustrator, drawing a guest strip at ForeverFamilyComic.

Not only does deliver beautiful artwork, but you’d be hard pressed to find a more prolific creator. In 2013 alone, he illustrated 9 picture books. This is a feat, let me tell you.

You can see Jamie’s work online with his comic strip, ‘Animal Office Funnies’, or you can purchase one of his children’s books. There’s still time to get a copy of before Christmas, or you can jump into volume 1 of . Both would make great gifts for the kids in your life.

Drawing a comic on adoption, as we do, you sometimes wonder how you can showcase that part of your family, while making it funny write my essay for me each week. Then you bring in a genius comic mind like Jamie, and he shows you there’s jokes to be had right inside the word you’ve wrapped your life around. This is the wonder of collaborating with someone of his quality and skill level. It reboots your brain while exposing viewers like you to someone outside your sphere of knowledge.

I hope you enjoy today’s comic as much as I did.

As a thank-you for your readership, I want to give away a copy of . So just leave a comment below writing essays and I will pick a winner at random this week.

Sometimes you’re out of options. When it comes to watching your brood, this happens far more often than you’d like.
